Resident Trevor Brown, 87, said: “Gardening and the outdoors has always been a passion of mine and while I don’t do much of it these days, it still brings me joy to see a beautiful garden — especially when I don’t have to weed it myself.”

Katrina Rick, the home’s manager, said: “Events like these help to connect our residents to the wider community, as well as refresh their passion for hobbies they enjoy.

To enter, send a photo of your pocket garden to jean.davison@fshcgroup.com quoting ‘The Oaks and Little Oaks’ in your email.
