Residents and staff at Tuxford Manor Care Home, Tuxford celebrate St George’s Day

Residents and staff at a care home marked St George’s Day with a food banquet.

St George Day, celebrated on April 23, was marked at Tuxford Manor Care Home, Tuxford, with a visit from St George and plenty of food.

In the morning, residents had a go at baking with Steve’s Bakes, and in the afternoon, they were entertained by Andy Land, the care home’s regular singer.

Bev Waylen​​​, the registered manager at the home, said: “We love our events at the care home and everyone is welcome to join us for these.
