Newark College carpentry and joinery students make keyrings for Beaumond House




Carpentry and joinery students raised £60 for Beaumond House by making handmade keyrings as an enterprise project.

Students also donated 30 keyrings with the Beaumond House logo on for them to give to the hospice’s residents.

One of the students, Tyler Evans said: “I did not know what Beaumond House did and this has made me understand more about the service and how this donation can help others.”

Penny Taylor, head of Newark College, said: “As a college we encourage students to support local charities to allow them to understand the impact their actions can have.

“Newark College prides itself on the positive contributions to the local community and the skills this allows our students to develop.”

Matt Colbourne, ‘from Beaumond House, said: “We are extremely grateful for this donation and it means a lot that the students thought of how they could support Beaumond House in this way.”
