Cash, TV, and bike up for grabs in Newark charity Beaumond House’s spring raffle
A raffle is set to offer a chance to win one of three top prizes — while supporting the vital work of a hospice.
Beaumond House’s spring raffle is back for a fifth time, with a £500 cash top prize.
The second prize is a factory refurbished Samsung TV donated by Curry's, and the third prize is a bicycle to the value of £200 from Tallis, Balderton, donated by a supporter.
Every ticket bought will help the Newark-based hospice continue to provide personalised end of life care and support to patients and their families.
Beaumond House’s care is expected to cost £2.2million this year, and after statutory funding, £1.6million of this must be raised through donations, businesses’ support, and charity shop sales.
The money funds four in-patient beds for people with palliative care needs, therapeutic activities in day therapy, and a Hospice at Home service which provides compassionate support to patients and families within their own homes in Newark and Sherwood.
Raffle tickets are £1 and can be bought from Beaumond House’s reception at 32 London Road, as well as the hospice charity shops in Newark, Southwell and Collingham.
Tickets can also be requested via beaumondhouse.co.uk/support-us/raffle.
The hospice is also keen to hear from businesses and shops who wish to be an outlet for ticket sales, contact the fundraising team on 01636 610556 or email fundraising@beaumondhouse.co.uk.
