CCTV issued in petrol theft inquiry
Officers investigating the theft of petrol from a Newark filling station last month have issued pictures of a man they would like to speak to.
A silver Vauxhall Astra was filled with petrol worth £45 at the Total filling station at the A46/A17 interchange at around 4.45pm on Saturday 19 November.
Enquiries have so far have established that the car was fitted with number plates stolen on November 3 from another vehicle registered in the Lincoln area.
The numberplates were found dumped close by in Droves Lane, Newark, the day after the petrol theft.
If anyone recognises the man seen in the CCTV images, they should telephone Pc Mick Woods at Newark Police Station on 101, extension 809 7616.
