Celebrity chef Rachel Green will be cooking dishes made with blue-coloured eggs at Lincolnshire Co-op’s Collingham Food Store on Friday.
Celebrity chef Rachel Green will be visiting Lincolnshire Co-op’s Collingham Food Store on Friday to cook up tasty dishes for shoppers using LJ Fairburn & Son’s award-winning British Blue® Eggs.
Rachel will be at the store, located on High Street, between 11am and 4pm cooking a variety of recipes all made using the pastel blue-coloured eggs, which are part of Lincolnshire Co-op’s Love Local range.
The eggs are laid by free range hens, which are fed a bespoke natural diet containing extracts from brightly coloured flowers, and have won a sought-after two star Great Taste Award.
Dishes being served to customers will include scrambled eggs with smoked salmon salsa, smoked haddock kedgeree, pancakes, Turkish baked eggs and corned beef hash.
Lincolnshire Co-op’s category manager Judy Lyon said: “We’re very excited to welcome Rachel Green back to cook up a storm with delicious, local goods at our Collingham Food Store.
"Our Love Local range is our way of celebrating amazing products and showcasing some of the best food and drink around our trading area, and these British Blue eggs from L J Fairburn & Son have been a fantastic addition to the range.”
Collingham Food Store is one of 11 Lincolnshire Co-op stores stocking Fairburn’s British Blue® Eggs which are developed, hatched and reared in Alford, Lincolnshire. For every pack of the eggs sold, a donation is made to the new Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park.
