Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire charity offer free service to reduce energy consumption at home while staying warm
A charity focused on supporting older people provides free advice on how to stay warm at home while being financially wise.
The Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – Warm and Wise service is available to people aged 50 or above living in the city or the county.
The service aims to empower and educate energy consumers so that they can reduce energy consumption and bills.
The service also seeks to help maximise income through welfare benefit checks, reduce fuel poverty and ensure that fuel debt and disputes are addressed.
The charity’s home energy advisors can provide information, signposting and advice via telephone, email or home visits.
During home visits, advisors can install small measures such as draught excluders, light bulbs, and timers.
They also provide support with installing TRV’s, minor repairs and refer for support with boilers, central heating and insulation.
The charity encourages individuals to get in touch before the colder months arrive.
