Rainbow Day Nursery holds elf day to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society

A nursery held an elf day to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Elf days are the society’s alternative to Christmas jumper days.

Parents with children at the Rainbow Day Nursery next to Newark’s Castle Station donated and the children came in costume.

There were elf-themed activities throughout the day that included baking, making elf pictures and games.

Just over £60 was raised.

Nursery deputy manager Lydia Johnston said: “It is something that was very important to us as we have staff and parents with relatives suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s.”
