Christmas presents stolen in burglary
Christmas presents were among the items stolen by thieves who targeted two homes in the same Fiskerton street.
The presents were taken from a property in Gravelly Lane, along with a laptop, after burglars forced open patio doors and searched the house.
The break-in is being linked to another incident in the street which happened on the same day.
Again, patio doors were forced open before the second property was searched. They keys to a blue MG car, parked on the drive, were stolen as well as the vehicle itself.
Both incidents happened between 11am and 4pm on Monday December 5.
Witnesses have reported seeing a dark coloured VW Golf, with two people sat in the front, parked in the street around the time of the burglaries.
Officers investigating the incidents are keen to trace the vehicle and its occupants.
Anyone with information about the burglaries or the vehicle itself are asked to call Detective Constable Alison Jones, at Newark Police Station, on 101, extension 809 7634, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
