Church plans progress
Plans to make £400,000 alterations to a thriving Ollerton church are well under way.
The Lifespring Church, on Sherwood Drive, has a congregation of around 150 and has to use the neighbouring Ollerton and Boughton Town Hall as a meeting place for younger members because of its limited space.
The church plans to use land it owns next to the church to create a large conference and worship centre.
The plans also include alterations to the front of the building to incorporate a new reception area and office as well as dividing the current hall into a community café and a smaller hall for community use.
Mr Phillips said a consultant had been employed to research the café side of the project.
He said: “I met with the architect on Monday and she is almost in a position to draw up final plans and submit a planning application within the next month or two.”
