St Peter’s Church, Claypole, to host book fair tomorrow (Saturday, October 30)

A book fair fundraiser is being held on Saturday.

St Peter’s Church, Claypole, is hosting its first book fair since lockdown from 10am to 1pm.

It is part of fundraising for the repair of the church roof after its lead was stolen.

Second-hand books, DVDs, CDs and jigsaws donated by residents will be on sale.

There will also be a tombola and refreshments.

The repairs are expected to cost £80,000, of which £30,000 has already been raised.

St Peter’s has applied for grants to help with the costs and is aiming to have the work complete by spring next year.
