Nottingham Royal Concert Hall hosts Alison Moyet, Man In The Mirror, and Seriously Collins – A Tribute To Phil Collins and Genesis

There’s a host of classic music at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall in the coming days.

Marking 40 years since she left Yazoo and launched her solo career, Alison Moyet is on tour and will be in Nottingham on Saturday, February 22.

Since her debut solo album, Alf, and top-ten hits Love Resurrection and All Cried Out she has had two number one albums, six top-ten singles, two BRIT Awards and a Grammy nomination.

Following her recent graduation from Brighton University in 2023 with a first-class degree in Fine Art Printmaking BA (Hons), Alison Moyet has combined both art and music on her latest album marking four decades of her career.

She has created the album art herself for Key, a collection of 16 reworked singles, fan favourites and deep cuts as well as two new songs

Alison says: “I wanted to take the opportunity to look at the trajectory of the past four decades and explore songs that, in their original form, were never fully realised or have had their relevance to me altered by time.”

Support in Nottingham is provided by Iona Zajac.

The following night sees a performance of Seriously Collins – A Tribute To Phil Collins & Genesis.

Alongside the hits of Phil Collins and Genesis, the show aims to recreate the energy, charm, and charisma of the original band to help fans relive some of the iconic concerts.

And on Monday, Fenruary 24, there is a tribute to the King of Pop Michael Jackson with the Man In The Mirror show.

It stars CJ, one of the world’s best Michael Jackson tribute artists, supported by a talented cast of performers and musicians who capture the essence of Michael Jackson’s style and charisma.

The show features greatest hits, including Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It, Smooth Criminal, and of course, Man in the Mirror, complete with dazzling choreography, stunning visual effects, light show and authentic costumes.
