Co-op buys empty pub

The former Bridge Inn pub on Lincoln Road, Newark, has been bought by Lincolnshire Co-op.

The building, which has suffered two arson attacks in recent months, was sold by Derry Properties, of Newark.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Co-op, which is building a store on Strawberry Hall Lane, Newark, said they were currently evaluating the demand for services they could provide on the site.
