Co-op respond to attack at its Lowdham store
A cash machine has been stolen from a Co-op store.
The supermarket, on Main Street, Lowdham, was attacked this morning after a vehicle smashed through the front of the store.
The shop window was smashed, while bricks were left crumbled across the entrance. Click here for images.
Residents in the area reported alarms at roughly 4am.
The shop remains cordoned off.
A spokesperson for Co-op, said: “An incident occurred at our Main street, Lowdham, store while the store was closed for the evening.
"Significant damage has been caused, and we are awaiting structural assessments of the extent of the damage.
"As such, it is too early to confirm when the store will re-open.
"We appeal for anyone who may have seen or heard anything to come forward to Police, who are investigating.”
It follows an attack on Collingham's Co-op.
