Coddington Primary School pupils create bunting for school fete
Children at a village primary school are creating hundreds of metres of bunting in preparation for their school fete.
More than 30 pupils at Coddington Primary School have been spending their lunch hours creating the bunting, which they hope will reach around the entire school, using recycled materials such as magazines.
The fete, on Saturday, June 28, will include family races, performances from the school orchestra, a pets’ corner, bouncy castle and hog roast.
Pupils also designed personal invitations, which have been sent home to parents
The money raised will go towards buying new playground equipment.
The Friends of Coddington School have raised around £9,000 towards its goal of £10,000 for the equipment, which will replace items removed last year for safety reasons.
The chairman of the friends, Miss Julie Reid, said: “We can only achieve these wonderful results with the support of many.”
The fete will run from noon to 3pm.
