FarmEco shortlisted for Severn Trent Community Fund silver award
A community care farm has been shortlisted for a Severn Trent Community award.
FarmEco, based in Screveton, is a farm that promotes sustainability and biodiversity.
They are one of six entrants for the silver award across the STWA which could see them receive £10,000 if they win.
In order to win, FarmEco need local people to support its community farm by voting for them in the awards.
You can show your support by voting for FarmEco at https://www.stwater.co.uk/about-us/severn-trent-community-fund/public-vote/.
A lot of important conservation work takes place on the farm, including the growing of heritage wheat and apples, as well as other fruits and nuts.
Later this year a wetland habitat will be created on the farm to further increase biodiversity on the farm.
