FarmEco shortlisted for Severn Trent Community Fund silver award




A community care farm has been shortlisted for a Severn Trent Community award.

FarmEco, based in Screveton, is a farm that promotes sustainability and biodiversity.

They are one of six entrants for the silver award across the STWA which could see them receive £10,000 if they win.

In order to win, FarmEco need local people to support its community farm by voting for them in the awards.

A lot of important conservation work takes place on the farm, including the growing of heritage wheat and apples, as well as other fruits and nuts.

Later this year a wetland habitat will be created on the farm to further increase biodiversity on the farm.
