Balderton Methodist Church is hosting a concert performed by Cranwell Military Wives to celebrate the church’s first event after three years of refurbishments
A church is hosting a concert to celebrate the completion of a £400,000 refurbishment project.
Balderton Methodist Church is hosting a concert on Saturday by the renowned Cranwell Military Wives.
It marks the opening of the events season at the church after three years of redevelopment.
The concert will start at 7pm in The Wesley Centre, the new hall that forms part of the church's three buildings – the church, the main hall and the Wesley Centre.
“We are looking to showcase our new premises. Saturday will be an evening to celebrate the completion of the refurbishments and the opportunity to display our church and give back to the community,” said Cathy Bates, the church's family worker.
A community cafe has been created and the recently finished works provide spaces for different community groups to host activities.
Tickets for the concert cost £12.50, which includes refreshments, and all money raised will go towards the Wesley Centre.
