Aerial photos taken by a drone show the true impact of the flooding caused by Storm Babet in and around Newark, Nottinghamshire




Aerial shots taken from a drone have demonstrated the true devastation of the flooding that Storm Babet has caused across the area.

These images are confronting and may upset some readers.

The photographs which were provided by John Edlin, show a bird's eye view of iconic features from around Newark and the impact of flood waters on them.

Several area sporting clubs are affected by the floods with some completely underwater.

The Newark Rugby Club and Newark R and M Cricket Clubs are two sporting organisations that have been affected by the floods.

The impact on the area’s roads has meant that several have had to close at some point.

Some residents have been evacuated.

Others have been reasonably lucky but are close to being flooded as shown by the photos below.
