Newark traffic affected by A1 closure due to emergency road works

The A1 is currently closed due to emergency repairs.
It is shut on A1 Worksop Road both ways from A57 Cliff Gate (Markham/Walesby junction) to B6420 Mansfield Road (Apleyhead/Five Lanes End).
This is due to emergency resurfacing and barrier repairs.
There is congestion to before the Tuxford junction northbound.
There are further severe delays of 28 minutes on A1 northbound between B1164 (Carlton / Sutton / Kneesall turn-off) and B1164. Average speed five mph.
Delays of eight minutes are developing on A1 northbound between A46 (Newark Showground turn-off) and B6325 Great North Road. Average speed ten mph.
