Newark and Sherwood District Council advise residents that water levels in the River Trent are highly likely to peak, causing more flooding




Newark and Sherwood District Council have advised residents that it is highly likely that water levels in the River Trent will peak and more areas will flooded.

"The timings are not confirmed but are likely to be rising through the night and into tomorrow," said a spokesman.

"If you live in an area which has experienced flooding in the past, or near to areas that have flooded, please prepare.

"There is a chance that flooding may expand to neighbouring properties which have previously been unaffected."

The council has also encouraged motorists to avoid Ollerton Roundabout due to flooding on the road.
