Newark and Sherwood District Council warned people to be aware of the flooding in Sconce and Devon Park, Newark




A flooding warning has been issued to a park in Newark due to the volume of rain forecasted in the coming days.

Newark and Sherwood District Council advise those planning a visit to Sconce and Devon Park, Newark to be aware of the flooding in the area.

The River Devon has burst its bank and due to rain forecasted, sections of the park are expected to remain flooded over the weekend and into the New Year.

A district council spokesman said: “We strongly urge everyone to refrain from attempting to access the flooded areas and footpaths.”
