Newark and Sherwood District Council appeal after fly-tip dumped off A17
A council is appealing for the public's help in identifying who illegally dumped waste near Newark.
Newark and Sherwood District Council's action hit squad cleared the fly-tip on Thursday after it was discovered in the Beckingham area near the A17.
The dump was mostly garden waste and rubbish.
The council is now wanting the public's assistance in finding the culprit.
If you recognise the waste in the photographs or have information who may be responsible, you you should contact the authority.
If you have had some work done on your garden recently and you’re not sure where your waste was going to be deposited, then get in touch at customerservices@newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk
The council said: "Fly-tipping is illegal and does serious damage to the environment we live in. If anyone recognises any of the waste in the photographs, please contact us. It was discovered north of Newark near the A17.
"We do not tolerate the illegal disposal of waste and want to ensure that other genuine residents are not sold such services in the future."
