Rufford Abbey Country Park closed due to snow

A country park popular with families has closed early due to snow.

Nottinghamshire County Council announced that Rufford Abbey Country Park has closed early today due to the weather.

The park grounds are ordinarily open from dawn to dusk.

Communities across Newark and Sherwood have seen snowfall today (Thursday) which has caused the park to take the decision to shut.

It is expected to open as normal tomorrow morning but will continue to monitor the weather.
