A MAN who was on a community order has been jailed after admitting eight new criminal offences.

Karl Allsop, 32, of no fixed abode, received a total of 18 weeks after admitting offences of assaulting a woman and damaging her coat, stealing packets of chocolate, stealing a woman’s car keys, twice assaulting her and driving without a licence or insurance.

He was ordered to pay the second woman £150 compensation.

Nottingham magistrates said the offences were as a result of a chaotic lifestyle brought about by an addiction to drugs.

They said Allsop had had the chance to address his addiction in the past.

The court revoked the community order, which had been imposed for criminal damage and assault.

A WOMAN who stole a mobile phone from somebody was conditionally discharged for 12 months.

Aneta Grobelna, 34, of Pelham Street, Newark, admitted theft and was ordered to pay £700 compensation.

A 34-YEAR-OLD who admitted bilking and theft offences was conditionally discharged for six months.

Lyle Cairney, of no fixed abode, admitted leaving without paying for fuel and a basket full of shop goods from the Shell Station, Markham Moor, making off without paying for fuel from the Blyth services, theft of goods and fuel from the Markham Moor Shell station again and the theft of wine and other alcohol from Winthorpe Service Station.

A PRISONER was sentenced to eight weeks after pleading guilty to the possession of three extreme pornographic images.

Magistrates heard the images depicted a person performing an act of intercourse with a dog.

David Clarkson, 52, of HMP Whatton, admitted possession of the images.
