NHS covid-19 jabs available to Newark residents at Northgate Retail Park this Saturday
People will be able to grab a covid-19 jab and get health and wellbeing advice this weekend at a mobile clinic.
The NHS covid-19 vaccination team will be hosting a pop-up clinic in the Northgate Retail Park, Newark, this Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
There is no need for appointment to the pop-up clinic.
The NHS will offer first, second and autumn booster jabs to all eligible residents.
Julia Rosevear, vaccination service locality manager for the covid-19 vaccination programme, said: “It will be a chance to get your immunity topped up ahead of the Christmas period when we know nasty illnesses spread quickly.
“The covid-19 autumn booster vaccine is being offered to the most vulnerable people in our communities to help keep their immunity topped up against the virus.
“The teams will also be able to give first and second doses for anyone who is yet to come forward.”
People aged 50 and over, carers aged 16 or over, people with underlying health conditions, frontline health and social care staff and pregnant women are eligible for the autumn booster.
Those aged 16 and over are eligible for the first, second and booster dose of the covid-19 jab.
The health and wellbeing team will be available to answer any vaccination related questions, give advice, signpost to local services and listen to any concerns.
Julia Rosevear concluded: “It is never too late to get vaccinated so I would encourage anyone interested to pop down and have a chat with our friendly team.”
