Crash on Cattle Market Roundabout, Newark, attended by emergency services
A video shows the scene of a crash on Cattle Market Roundabout this morning, attended by emergency services.
Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service were in attendance.
A lorry and car were involved, with both drivers having suffered injuries in the collision.
The incident blocked the outer lane of traffic on the roundabout, between the A46 and A617 Kelham Road exits.
The video, posted on Twitter by DaveCTrucker, shows the scene of the collision.
Inspector Jayne Clarke, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Emergency services were called to reports of a crash between a lorry and a car on the A617 Cattle Market Island, near Newark, at around 8.30am today (Wednesday, September 28).
“The drivers of both vehicles suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. Roads nearby were closed while investigations were carried out but have since re-opened.”
