Crash victim airlifted
A 66-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle collision.
The crash occurred between a black Ford Mondeo and a dark red Ford Fiesta, which were travelling along the B6030 Mansfield Road, near to the junction with Rufford Road at Edwinstowe, just before 12.30pm on Tuesday.
The woman was a passenger in the Mondeo and was taken by air ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, with suspected spinal injuries.
The driver of the Mondeo suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene and the driver of the Fiesta was taken to the King’s Mill Hospital, Mansfield, with whiplash injuries.
Police are keen to speak with the driver of a white lorry, which was travelling along the B6030 Mansfield Road, Edwinstowe, towards Ollerton at the time of the collision.
