Cyclist breaks arm

An elderly cyclist was left with a broken arm after he was allegedly knocked from his bike by a car.

The 75-year-old man was riding his bicycle along Windsor Road, Newark, at 10.15am on Saturday when he says he was in collision with a blue car reversing from a driveway.

He claims he was knocked to the floor by the car, which then continued to reverse over the front wheel of the bike and drive away.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.
