Daisies Day Nursery in Lowdham and Gedling sold to Kids Planet

A pair of outstanding-rated nurseries have been sold to a new operator.

The building in Gedling operates from a Georgian mansion that provides care for 72 children aged up to four.

The demand at the setting is currently full and there is a significant waiting list through to September next year.

Within five miles of Gedling, the other setting in Lowdham cares for 60 toddlers, also aged up to four.

“A warm welcome to all of the team, children and families at Daisies. These nurseries are an excellent fit with our growing cluster in the Nottingham area,” said Kids Planet chief executive Clare Roberts.

“We are excited to support and continue the development of these settings as part of the Kids Planet family.”

The Daisies Day Nursery buildings were sold for an undisclosed price.

Previously owned by Steve and Alison Pickering of AJP Childcare Limited, the nurseries are now under the ownership of Kids Planet, which owns 131 premises.

“As soon as we met Kids Planet and understood their values, we knew they would keep our nurseries safe, fun, family places for future generations to enjoy,” said Steve and Alison Pickering.

“Their passion is very clear and everyone we have been in contact with through the process has been amazing. We wish the team and Kids Planet all the very best.”
