Disruption is expected on trains from Retford Newark Northgate today.

COMMUTERS will be disrupted on train services this morning due to signalling problems between Newark Northgate and Retford.

Hull Trains between Hull and London Kings Cross and London North Eastern Railway between Newcastle / Sunderland / Leeds and London Kings Cross will be affected until 12noon today due to damage to the overhead electric wires between Retford and Newark North Gate.

The Southbound line is currently blocked and trains between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Rail replacement buses are in place at Doncaster, Retford and Newark, and you may also use Northern services between Doncaster, Retford and Sheffield. Commuters may use their tickets on CrossCountry; East Midlands Trains; Great Northern; Thameslink; TransPennine Express and Virgin Trains services via any reasonable route.
