Newark, Southwell and Bingham issued yellow weather warning by The Met Office

A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued by The Met Office.
The warning, which covers Newark, Bingham, Southwell and most of Nottinghamshire, runs between 6am and 8pm today (October 1).
The heavy rainfall may lead to flooding and travel disruption.
What to expect:
- Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
- Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
- There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
- There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing dangerous conditions.
