Residents invited to clap for the Queen in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II
People are being invited to join a national applause on Monday evening in honour of the late monarch.
Similar to the Clap For Carers, which took place during the covid pandemic, people are being asked to stand on their doorstep for the national applause.
It is due to take place on Monday (September 12) at 7pm.
Inspired by the NHS movement during the pandemic, Nicky Davis organised the Facebook online event.
She said: ""Let’s do this for the Queen. She has battled for us, ruled for us, she has been amazing.
"She deserves the whole country to stand as one and clap for her."
The event is public and can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/769166957702611/?ref=newsfeed
Thousands of people have so far expressed an interest in taking part.
