Video : Drone footage of the remains of the former Grove Leisure Centre




Drone footage has been captured which shows the full extent of the damage caused by a fire at the former Grove Leisure Centre in Balderton.

Richard White captured footage of the former leisure centre before it was destroyed by a fire on Friday evening.

He also captured footage of the building on fire and of the remains of the building the following day.

The former centre was destroyed in a blaze that broke out at 8.20pm on Friday.

At its height approximately 50 firefighters and nine appliances from Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire tackled the fire.

Nottinghamshire County Council is working with the emergency services and partner agencies to investigate the fire.

Newark Academy is closed today to ensure the safety of students accessing the site. It will be open tomorrow as normal.
