Photographer captures drone footage for Facebook and his YouTube showing beauty of Newark after moving to the town from Boston, Lincolnshire
A man has filmed Newark from the skies in the hope of awakening emotion and sharing the town's beauty.
Lukasz Rarog, who has lived in Newark for a year and a half, started experimenting with filming and editing drone videos of Newark eight weeks ago.
Last week, he published the videos across social media, which got a lot of positive feedback and support from the community.
Mr Rarog said: “I am trying to help people feel some kind of emotion to look at the subject from a different perspective and see the beauty of it.
“The shots from the sky, especially with nice lighting such as sunrise or sunset are shots that are actually able to convey emotions.
“Most of the time we see the town from the level of the street and it isn’t always as beautiful as you look from the sky.”
He shared two drone videos of Newark on his YouTube channel — FX Magic Drone Photo & Video.
Before moving to Newark, he lived in Boston, Lincolnshire for 10 years, where he worked as a photographer.
Lukasz said he chose Newark as his subject as he lives in the town, knows it and wants to share a place he enjoys with others.
“People’s reaction was amazing, it has been really good, I think a lot of people from Newark like the town a lot and the drone videos help them have the feeling of being very appreciative of where they live and look at it from different perspectives,” he added.
In the future, the videographer said he might expand his drone videos to other villages and towns surrounding Newark, cities and even the Peak District.
