The Duke of Kent will attend a thanksgiving service at Southwell Minster on October 21 to celebrate its 900th anniversary.
The service at 2pm will celebrate the many craftsmen that have helped create the beautiful building that exists today.
Before the service, the duke will have a chance to meet some of those involved in the recent repairs to the central tower and those who helped support it through fundraising and volunteer work.
The service is expected to be very popular. Admission is by ticket only and these are free and can be obtained from Andrea Critchley at the Minster Centre until October 17.
