A hospice is set to bring bank holiday fun for all the family, with the return of its annual Easter fun day.

From inflatables to crazy golf, arts and crafts to egg and spoon races, there will be plenty for everyone to get stuck in to at Beaumond House Hospice Care’s annual fundraiser.

It is an opportunity to celebrate Easter while raising vital funds to allow the charity to continue its palliative care work across the district, at will take place at Newark Market Place on Friday, April 18, from 10am to 3pm.

The Fun Day’s ‘egg-citing’ entertainment and activities will also include toy tombola, face painting, biscuit decorating, an ultimate wipeout game, a penalty shoot out, and a disco.

Matt Colbourne, head of fundraising and communications at Beaumond House, said: “Our Easter fun day is becoming a much-loved tradition to kick off the bank holiday weekend and we’re delighted to be bringing it back for the third time this year.

“Whether you’re looking to bring out your competitive side with our egg and spoon race and penalty shoot out, or get arty with our Easter crafts and biscuit decorating, there really is something for everyone.

“We’re so grateful to the people of Nottinghamshire for always getting behind us and supporting these events, which not only offer great fun but also the opportunity to help us raise money for the specialist palliative care we provide.

“It costs us around £2.2 million to deliver our services every year and around £1.6 million of this must be raised through donations, shops and local businesses. The money raised from events like these is invaluable as we continue to provide free, palliative care and help our patients to live well and die well.
