Reader's letter: Easy answer

It's not rocket science that the obvious first step to attract people to Newark is to offer free car parking.

My partner and I had a lovely day out in Ely, made even more enjoyable by the sign that greeted us as we drove in to the carpark offering free parking.

If other councils can do it, then what is Newark’s excuse?­ — E. BATTY, Norwell.
