Edwinstowe nursery buys minibus thanks to Nottinghamshire County Council grant

A nursery has bought a minibus with a £30,000 county council grant that will enable more children to use its facilities.

Bright Beginnings Day Nursery in Edwinstowe hopes to accommodate children from nearby Ollerton, where there is a shortage of nursery places.

Two-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare each week but the nursery manager, Miss Sarah Hickling, said there were lots of children who were not accessing their free entitlement.

“This new bus will make a difference to the children and families,” said Miss Hickling.
