Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue crews including members from Southwell Fire Station conduct rescue in Gibsmere




Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue personnel were back at a village yesterday providing much-needed assistance.

Members of Southwell Fire Station working with other appliances and agencies returned to Boat Lane, Gibsmere last night (Friday, January 5) to continue evacuations of residences.

Crews had previously been out to the village where 18 people and four dogs were rescued on January 4.

Last night, four adults and four children were rescued using the Fire Service Water Rescue Team and with the help of a Local farmer and his tractor.

Access to the village remains difficult.
