Two elderly people found dead at Newark address

Two elderly people were found dead at an address in Newark.

Police were called to Vine Way just before 6pm on Tuesday last week after concerns were raised for the welfare of the occupants.

Inside officers recovered the bodies of a man and a woman, both aged in their eighties.

Their deaths are not being treated as suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.

Detective Chief Inspector Kim Binns, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is an extremely sad occurrence, and our thoughts remain with the family of the deceased.”
