Nottinghamshire Police and Fire and Rescue Service vehicles decorated with poppies for Remembrance
Poppies have been added to emergency services' vehicles in a tribute to fallen troops.
The poppy is symbolic of Remembrance Day, being the flower that grew on the battlefields after the first world war.
Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have decorated their vehicles with the flower this month.
Nottinghamshire Roads Policing Unit announced its vehicles' decoration on Facebook.
The unit said: "All our marked RPU cars now have a poppy on the bonnet. This is to mark our sign of respect and support to our armed forces past and present who have given and continue to give so much for us all."
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service's fire engines have also donned the symbolic flower.
A large poppy is attached to the front of the vehicles in an act of remembrance.
On Facebook, the service said: "Ahead of Remembrance Day, you'll start to see poppies on the front of our fire engines and appliances.
"We will remember them."
