Currys Newark employees spread Christmas joy through Salvation Army present donation

A Newark employer organised a large collection of Christmas gifts for children.

Currys Newark collaborated with GXO Logistics to present Newark Salvation Army with over £2,000 worth of presents.

Currys colleagues Kasia Zawadka and Donna Emmet, whose on site eBay team organised a significant part of the donation, were on hand to make the presentation.

They said: “The last couple of years have been challenging for many people, some more than others, so we decided to support the Salvation Army because we believe everyone deserves a little bit of Christmas joy.”

“As parents ourselves, we would love to see every child receive at least a little something on Christmas day.”

The team has also organised a Christmas fundraiser for Age UK, which will be taking place throughout December.

The presentation marked another successful charity event for Currys this winter, having previously raised more than £2,000 for Children in Need in November.
