Southwell estate agent Gascoines successful in its support of Newark Salvation Army Toy Appeal

Staff at Southwell estate agent Gascoines have rallied to give to those less fortunate in the community by backing the Salvation Army’s toy appeal.

With many facing financial hardship, the Salvation Army committed to ensuring each child in Newark and surrounding areas received at least one present this Christmas.

Gascoines launched its support at the start of December, offering its office as a location for people to drop off any presents.

Jess Mitchell, office manager, said: “We have been overwhelmed with the response to the appeal.

“It’s fantastic that the community has got behind the great work the Salvation Army is doing to spread some festive cheer to those that may otherwise not receive a gift.

“This is the second year we have chosen to support the Salvation Army and it’s wonderful to see the volume of donations increase year on year.
