Excellence Care Quality Commission rating maintained at Home Instead

A care provider retained its outstanding rating.

Home Instead Senior Care was the first care provider in the East Midlands to be rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and achieved the benchmark for the second time after a re-inspection.

The East Nottinghamshire branch of Home Instead, based in East Bridgford, got top marks in five key areas — caring, safe, responsive, effective and being well led.

Headed by directors Jo and Richard Aram, the branch was launched eight years ago.

Mr Aram said: “We are absolutely delighted to be told we are outstanding. It is a huge achievement to be told Home Instead is providing outstanding care to our clients.

“CQC inspections are important to our sector to ensure standards are maintained. We are rigorously assessed by the CQC and this year, we achieved good in three areas and two assessments of ‘outstanding.’”

Home Instead East Notts employs 60 people and has around 100 clients.

It provides support to people living in their own homes in the Rushcliffe and Newark and Sherwood areas and cares for older people, some of whom who live with dementia.

In its report, the CQC said Home Instead staff were exceptionally caring and committed and that the company was managed well and that staff went above and beyond their duties to ensure clients’ needs were met.
