Loyal fans jumped at the chance to appear in a new music video for an indie-rock band’s latest single.

The Freefall asked fans and the public to join them in the Prince Rupert and Flying Circus pubs to record footage for the video to Follow My Faith.

The single is taken from the band’s second album, Can You Feel.

The Freefall are Newark-based lead singer, guitarist, keyboardist and banjo player Ant MacAndrew; guitarist, keyboardist and singer Scott Ballard; bass guitarist and singer Andy Cox; and Newark-based drummer and singer Ben Selfridge.

Ten fans and a town councillor visited the Prince Rupert, on Stodman Street, to be filmed while the band performed their song.

Scott said: “The video is about someone trying to follow us both physically and on social media, but unfortunately they keep missing our shows.

“At the end, the individual bumps into us while we’re busking and it all ends happily.

“We needed an audience for both events to recreate a live atmosphere, and everyone who came to help will be given a free download of the track when the music video is released.

“We would like to thank both venues for their support and providing their facilities free of charge.”

Ant's sister, Chantelle Cattermole, 31, was one of the fans who attended the recording.

“I wanted to come and support my brother and the band,” she said.

“I have been in another music video where I had to act a bit. The band's videos are well thought out.”

Mr Laurence Goff, a member of Newark Town Council, appeared as an extra.

“As a town councillor it’s all about bringing my support to groups like this one from the town,” he said.

“I like their music. It’s interesting and different.”

The Freefall’s next gig in Newark is at the Queen’s Head on October 24 from 9pm.
