The event, which began in 2020 to spread cheer during lockdown, returned due to the number of overwhelming messages received last year.

Sixty-seven tractors — decorated with Christmas lights — took part in the two-hour run which passed through 15 villages.

“Our members and supporters really love this event, but, seeing those happy faces and reading the overwhelming messages of support and Christmas cheer really is the icing on the cake,” said Lauren Clark, county development officer at Notts YFC.

"Notts YFC faced many challenges during the pandemic, but not being able to run vital fundraising events to support the work they do was the biggest one.

"The organisation provides many positive activities and opportunities to young people and the donations from those who enjoyed the tractor run are very much appreciated and will make a difference to young people living in our rural communities. "
