Fashion boutique showcases latest seasonal looks

Shoppers got into the Christmas spirit at a fashion show at Jane Young, Newark.

An informal catwalk show took place where prospective customers could get inspiration for this season’s must-haves including sparkly jumpers and evening dresses.

This season’s casual wear is proving popular in a range of soft colours, black, reds and navy blue.

Mrs Jane Kingsley — the third generation of her family to run the boutique first opened 50 years ago — said: “Sparkly jumpers, coats and evening wear were popular.

“We had many items from collections including Betty Barclay and Tahari on the catwalk.

“Many people were looking for Christmas gifts and were thinking along the Christmas lines.

“Black and red are once again popular for the Christmas period but also navy blue. We have also seen soft colours in this season too.”

Customers were treated to mince pies and a glass of bubbly and live music.
