Gloworm Festival set to return to Thoresby Park revealed the first wave of acts
A popular family-friendly festival set to return home this year has revealed the first wave of acts.
Gloworm Festival will take place at Thoresby Park from August 8 to 10, marking five years at the venue.
The festival is set to deliver a packed weekend of family entertainment, with organisers confirming the first headline performances.
Paul Chuckle will open the weekend with a DJ set on Friday evening, exclusively for campers and Park and Pitch pass holders.
Saturday’s main stage will feature The Killerz, a tribute to The Killers, delivering fan favourites such as “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me.”
On Sunday, the festival will welcome Arctic Roll, performing covers of Arctic Monkeys hits, alongside Dene Michael of Black Lace, who will have the audience dancing to classics like “Agadoo.”
Other musical acts include Rozalla, known for her hit “Everybody’s Free,” and Do It Like Dua, a tribute to pop star Dua Lipa.
Festival director Richard Walpole said: “We're really excited to be returning home to Thoresby Park in 2025 and it’s great to see the positive response from our customers.
“Taking a year away has given us an opportunity to reassess how we use the space and we are looking forward to announcing these improvements in the coming months.”
Alongside the headline acts, children’s favourites Justin Fletcher and Andy and the Odd Socks will make appearances, as well as nostalgic characters Zippy & George and Bodger and Badger.
The West End Kids will also perform, adding to the weekend’s entertainment lineup.
Popular festival zones such as The Beach, Circus Hub, and Actual Reality Arcade will return, with additional activities for older children, including Mini Land Rovers, Axe Throwing, Laser Tag, and Skateboarding.
Global toy brand Playmobil will continue its partnership with Gloworm Festival for the seventh year.
Their Playmobil Play Zone and Rave remain key features of the event, offering interactive play experiences for children.
The organisers have also cut the price of family tickets to £450 from £540, aiming to make the event more accessible.
Richard Walpole added: “At Gloworm Festival, we believe that every family should have the opportunity to experience the magic of live music, immersive activities, and unforgettable memories.
“We understand that, for many families, the rising costs of living can make attending festivals a financial challenge.
“With this in mind, we’ve made the decision to significantly reduce the cost of our family tickets for the 2025 event.
“Our mission is to make Gloworm Festival accessible to as many families as possible, ensuring that no one has to miss out on the joy and excitement our festival offers.
“By lowering the price of family tickets, we hope to alleviate some of the financial burden and make it easier for parents and children to come together and enjoy a weekend full of fun, creativity, and connection.”
“We’re committed to providing a welcoming environment where families can make lasting memories without worrying about the cost. We can’t wait to see you at Gloworm this year—let’s create something special together.”
Thoresby Park’s expansive grounds will provide more space for camping and festival activities. The introduction of the new Park and Pitch Pass will replace previous camping options, allowing attendees to park next to their tents or vehicles.
The pass includes power and aims to make it easier for groups to camp together.
Tickets for the festival are now on sale, with a range of options for day visitors and campers. The campsite opens at 5pm on Friday, August 8, with exclusive entertainment for overnight guests.
Day visitors can join the festivities from 10am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday.
People can buy tickets at the Gloworm website.
