Newark crew deals with fire on first floor of British Sugar Beet Factory




Fire crews have successfully dealt with an incident at the British Sugar Beet Factory.

The fire was reported at 7.54pm last night.

Emergency crews from Newark, Mansfield and Tuxford were called to the scene after a machinery fire broke out at the plant, on Great North Road.

The fire was located on the first floor of the plant.

Six breathing apparatus, one main jet, two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras were used.
