Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue teams remain in attendance of a industrial waste fire in Newark Northgate area

Fire crews set to work through the night following a large industrial waste fire.

Six Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service fire engines, the welfare unit and the command unit remain on Newark Northgate.

The fire has been dampened but emergency services are likely to remain on scene into the night.

The fire was first reported around 3pm today (November 11).

It is advised that people avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed.
